First hotel shooting in Amsterdam!
Despite the difficult coronavirus times, I was able to realize my first hotel shooting in Amsterdam this summer within the brand new Premier Suites Plus !
It was supposed to be a one-day shooting by myself but we decided to combine this shooting with some family holidays due that we did not book anything for the summer and that we were in serious need of leaving our lockdown habits of the past months.
About the Premier Suites, it looked amazing right from the start! It is a complex of serviced apartments and studios with kitchenette, ideal for people staying a little longer then usual hotel stays or for families such as ours looking for a multiple bedroom solution at an affordable price.
The property is extremely well located within the fancy business district of Zuidas, home of important companies such as Google or ABN AMRO Bank, and right next to the A10 highway surrounding Amsterdam. All buildings look brand new with great designs and a few of them are still under development. An extensive refurbishment of the Amsterdam South train station is currently ongoing and it will be a great asset to the hotel positioned right next to it. The business district is surrounded by plenty of trendy restaurants, bars, a supermarket, fitness and a metro station offering a direct access to the city centre within approx 20 min.
The building of the Premier Suites itself is very impressive from the outside (such as most of the buildings there). A real architectural beauty ! The inside is very modern, minimalistic, with high ceilings, huge windows, lots of plants,… it feels like a building you would find in cities such as New York, Singapore or Dubai.
About the shooting day itself, it was intense but very exciting and I enjoyed every moment of it ! We went from exterior to interior photography, lifestyle photography with model, a promotional video and finally some destination shots with pictures of Amsterdam. The management of the hotel took the shooting very seriously and everything was perfectly organized which made my job so much easier and enjoyable.
This was one of my best projects and I look forward for more to come!
